Job Description
Our client, a leading player in the FMCG, manufacturing industry is seeking a strategic and operationally minded Head of HR Shared Services to lead and optimise core people functions at group level. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to make a significant impact on the way HR is delivered across the business - from industrial relations and remuneration to people analytics and employee self-service systems.
This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, manufacturing-led environments and is excited about driving operational excellence through streamlined HR processes.
You'll work directly with senior leadership to ensure HR frameworks are aligned to business goals, and you'll lead initiatives that empower employee engagement, equity, and data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of IR frameworks, policies, and labour broker relationships.
- Oversee the remuneration and incentives strategy, including benchmarking, grading, salary reviews, retention, and long service awards.
- Drive the implementation and improvement of Employee Self-Service capabilities and systems.
- Manage employee administration processes.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR data and analytics, including B-BBEE compliance.
- Oversee HR technology systems, ensuring functionality aligns with operational needs.
- Champion process optimisation, continuous improvement, and financial discipline within HR services.
- Participate in strategic planning and lead effective people capacity planning across the organisation.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent (NQF Level 8)
- 8+ years' experience in HR Operations or HR Services within large, complex environments
- Strong knowledge of Labour Relations and Remuneration practices
- Demonstrated experience in HR tech platforms (Sage People, PWC tools, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or unionised environments
- Working knowledge of B-BBEE and Employment Equity
- Familiarity with employee engagement and change management initiatives
