Head of Finance CA(SA)

About the position

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible to ensure professional and ethical financial standards and practices aligning with our client's business strategy.

This is a growing and profitable environment with the superb challenge to improve efficiencies and optimize processes, leading your finance team of 22 staff to achieve compliance, financial and ethical standards set by the shareholders.

In addition, you will:

• Lead all financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Manage a growing finance department whilst preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Build and manage monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
• Develop strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.
• Oversee and review accounting tasks, including payroll, taxes, and compliance.
• Implement and monitor of internal controls.
• Present financial reports to executives, board members, investors and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with the executives and directors to create budgets and track key performance indicators.
• Have excellent knowledge and adhere to IFRS rules and regulations.

Key requirements include:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant essential
• 5 yrs. post article experience
• Strong understanding of compliance, SLA's and legal contracts
• Computer Literate MS Office plus accounting software and advanced excel skills.
• Proven management and leadership skills particularly focused on processes, compliance and excellence
• Knowledge of statutory regulations and requirements related to finance, procurement and legal with ability to translate these into compliance standards.
• Experienced in financial reporting with strong analytical skills.
