What you will be doing:
- Part of the Exco team, contributing to strategic direction and ensuring financial and operational health.
- Drives organisational excellence by translating strategy into actionable growth steps and managing performance and planning.
- Acts as the voice of Finance and Operations in leadership, ensuring understanding of their mandate.
- Develops and implements financial management policies and ensures regulatory compliance and effective budget planning.
- Leads cost-saving initiatives, ensures timely payments and payroll, and oversees financial transactions and asset management.
- Leads risk management, compliance, and governance, ensuring adherence to internal and external regulations.
- Creates operational frameworks for optimisation and leads the definition of effectiveness metrics, driving automation and IT support.
- Leads the Finance & Operations team, fostering an inclusive culture, managing talent development, and overseeing contracts and stakeholder engagements.
What our client is looking for:
- A relevant tertiary degree would be ideal (Accounting, Finance, etc.).
- A full CA(SA) / ACCA or equivalent.
- 8 - 10 years' experience in Financial & Operational Management
- Exco-level experience and cross-functional team collaboration skills are advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial analysis for funding requirements of non-profit programs is needed.
- Skills in budget and financial management, and business acumen are essential.
- Strategic and analytical thinking, alongside emotional intelligence, are important attributes.
- Strong ethical standards, adaptability, and leadership abilities are necessary.
- Expertise in corporate governance, risk management, people management, and operations is required.
