You'll head up a skilled team of engineers, overseeing the full lifecycle of solar and energy engineering projects, from design and budgeting through to execution and compliance. You'll guide the development of advanced technologies like microgrids and storage systems, stay ahead of industry trends, and represent the company at key events. As a member of the executive leadership team, your input will help shape strategic direction. Day-to-day, you'll ensure smooth operations, clear delegation, and high-quality output while supporting your team's professional growth.
You'll be joining a well-established and values-driven renewable energy business making a meaningful impact in South Africa's solar sector. Known for its stable market presence and consistent growth, this organisation blends technical excellence with a collaborative, family-oriented culture. Based in Cape Town, they offer a purpose-driven environment where strategic thinking, initiative, and leadership are truly appreciated.
You're a registered Pr. Eng with at least 9 years' experience in engineering, including 5+ in leadership roles, preferably within the solar and engineering sectors. You bring postgraduate qualifications in engineering or solar energy and strong command of tools like Helioscope, PVSyst, PV Sol, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. Equally important are your people skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage and motivate high-performing teams.
A competitive salary of R120,000 per month (negotiable), a pension fund, and eligibility for discretionary performance bonuses. You'll be part of a supportive, family-friendly team that values flexibility and impact-driven work.
