About the position

We are seeking an experienced Head of Cyber Security to lead the strategic direction, growth, and delivery of our cyber security portfolio. This executive leadership role is responsible for defining the cyber security strategy, developing go-to-market initiatives, driving pre-sales engagements, and overseeing the successful delivery of cyber security solutions to enterprise customers.


The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with commercial acumen, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while working closely with executive leadership, sales teams, vendors, and delivery teams to expand the organisation's cyber security capabilities and market presence.


Key Responsibilities


Cyber Security Strategy


  • Define and execute the organisation's cyber security vision and long-term strategy.
  • Develop and evolve the cyber security portfolio to align with market trends and customer requirements.
  • Drive innovation across Managed Security Services, Cloud Security, Network Security, Identity & Access Management, and Security Operations.
  • Build business cases for new cyber security products and services.
  • Monitor emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure the organisation remains competitive.
Go-to-Market Strategy


  • Develop and execute cyber security go-to-market strategies for new and existing offerings.
  • Define product positioning, pricing models, customer value propositions, and service packaging.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to create sales enablement material and thought leadership content.
  • Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Drive portfolio growth and revenue generation across enterprise accounts.
Pre-Sales & Client Engagement


  • Act as the executive technical advisor during strategic customer engagements.
  • Lead executive presentations, workshops, and solution design sessions.
  • Support RFP, RFI, and tender responses.
  • Develop cyber security solution architectures aligned to customer business outcomes.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and close complex deals.
Business Transformation


  • Lead cyber security transformation initiatives across enterprise customers.
  • Define automation strategies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive adoption of AI-driven security operations where appropriate.
  • Develop scalable service delivery models and operational processes.
Leadership


  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cyber security teams.
  • Manage architects, consultants, engineers, and security specialists.
  • Foster collaboration across Sales, Delivery, Product, and Executive Leadership.
  • Establish KPIs, governance frameworks, and operational reporting.
Commercial & Financial Management


  • Own portfolio profitability and revenue growth.
  • Develop annual business plans and budgets.
  • Manage vendor relationships and commercial negotiations.
  • Track market trends and competitor offerings to maintain competitive positioning.
 Required Experience


  • 12+ years' experience within Cyber Security, Information Security, or Enterprise Technology.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or practice management role.
  • Proven experience developing and executing cyber security strategies.
  • Strong experience building and managing cyber security service portfolios.
  • Experience driving go-to-market strategies and launching new security offerings.
  • Demonstrated success supporting enterprise pre-sales engagements and solution design.
  • Experience working with C-level stakeholders and executive decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial understanding of managed services and recurring revenue models.
  • Experience leading large transformation programmes.
