About the position
We are recruiting a Head of Collections Technology and Data to bring affect to the collections strategy, operational approach by implementing the necessary changes to technology and people capabilities. You will also be required to leverage expert use of data in order to inform strategies, monitor performance, isolate key underperforming segments, validate champion / challenger strategies.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Informatics.
- Minimum of 10 years of collections and / or recoveries experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working with collection strategies and / or collections data / reporting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with collections and / or recoveries technologies.
- Minimum of 6 years of managerial experience.
- Ability to work with SQL-based systems to extract and transform data.
- Experience working with Microsoft or AWS data and reporting technologies is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation and maintenance of collection software solution.
- Definition of and updates to the collection strategies, segments, queues, correspondence templates and call strategies.
- Creation and maintenance of data and reporting solutions for collections and service operations, including online / mobile enabled dashboards.
- Set and deliver a collections strategy and operational approach that meets / exceeds the defined loss expectations.
- Align the collections strategy to the organisational strategy, helping customers wherever possible and maximising collection metrics where necessary.
- Increases the collections efficiencies by ensuring that the current processes are being utilised optimally.
- Design, monitor and update collections capacity model and resource scheduling.
- Design, monitor and update collections incentive scheme.
- Analyses service delivery and implementation of corrective plans where required.
- Drive defining, implementing and updating of the decision engine for collection purposes.
- Inform board collection and recoveries strategy.
