You'll lead and expand the business development function for a high-performing solar EPCM firm. Your role will combine hands-on sales leadership with high-level strategic planning. From setting and executing market-entry strategies to negotiating multi-million-rand deals and mentoring a team of business developers, you'll be central to driving revenue growth. You'll also shape key partnerships, lead on RFPs, engage directly with C-suite clients, and refine customer acquisition approaches in line with fast-evolving market conditions.
Our client is a well-respected engineering and project management firm in the renewable energy space, known for delivering tailored solar and storage solutions across the commercial and industrial sectors. They operate in a values-driven, high-performance culture where autonomy, integrity, and innovation are core. This is a business with a future-facing purpose, backed by solid delivery and consistent growth.
You'll bring at least 15 years of experience, including 5+ years at senior leadership level in solar, EPCM or energy-related fields. A proven track record of strategic sales leadership is key, ideally with large-scale C&I clients. You're commercially sharp, technically conversant, and have led diverse teams across business development, operations or sales. While an electrical engineering degree is preferred, exceptional track record in solar sales leadership is equally valuable.
