The Hardware and Storage Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of an organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of network systems, hardware components, and storage solutions. By combining technical expertise with a proactive approach, the specialist helps maintain seamless operations, safeguards data integrity, and supports business continuity across all technology environments.
RequirementsResponsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation
- Design and deploy network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Configure and manage network devices to ensure stable and secure connectivity.
Hardware Management
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and peripherals.
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues promptly.
- Implement and manage storage solutions, including SAN and NAS systems.
- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor network security and implement measures to protect against threats.
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security devices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and hardware issues.
- Assist in training staff on hardware and network usage.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, hardware setups, and storage systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network engineering, hardware management, and storage solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar.
