Half-Day Bookkeeper

About the position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Half-Day Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping for our company. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper who is looking for part-time hours while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and capture transactions.
  
  
• Process supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  
  
• Manage debtors, creditors, and cashbook entries.
  
  
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  
  
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory requirements.
  
  
• Assist with payroll preparation if required.
  
  
• Prepare monthly management reports.
  
  
• Support the accountant with year-end and audit processes.
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ bookkeeping experience.
  
  
• Proficiency in Sage accounting software 
  
  
• Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and basic tax compliance.
  
  
• High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
  
  
• Strong communication skills and professional conduct.
