About the position
Our client, with interests in lime, carbonates, magnetite and other industrial minerals in various locations, has an opportunity for a Group Reporting Accountant based at its Head Office in Randpark Ridge, reporting directly to the Head of Finance Business Partnering and Commercial.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Preparation and review of shareholder reports
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual information / reports.
- General financial modelling and analytical tasks.
- Review of general ledger reconciliations
- Review of Group Consolidation
- Reporting for Exco, Shareholders, Board and Remco meetings
- Preparation and review of monthly operational trading accounts
- Maintain financial internal control system
- Provide support and insight into technical accounting matters.
- Continuously improve reporting process.
- Management of Financial aspects of Environmental Liabilities
- Compilation and review of consolidated and company Annual Financial Statements
- Review of trust accounts, compilation of the Annual Financial Statements of trust accounts.
- Provide decisions and project support for Finance, Site Management, Operations and Senior Management.
- Maintenance of management shareholding structures
- Preparation on review of all tax related matters
- Accounting of BEE structures
