About the position
An established organisation within the renewable energy and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Group Financial Manager (CA(SA)) to oversee and coordinate all finance functions across a diverse group of entities.
This strategic role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong group reporting, consolidation, and financial governance experience, ideally gained in renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance, or large asset-based industries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the full financial operations across multiple entities, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Review and consolidate monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and financial controls.
- Lead annual budgeting, group forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Oversee external audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting in line with statutory requirements.
- Review commercial contracts and key financial obligations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide strategic financial input to the board and senior leadership, including cashflow, distributions, and governance oversight.
- Manage and mentor a small team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to ongoing business growth through financial analysis, process optimisation, and performance insights.
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) – non-negotiable.
- Minimum of 8 years’ post-articles experience, with at least 3 years at a group or senior finance management level.
- Proven experience within renewable energy, project finance, or related large asset-based industries (essential).
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, consolidations, and corporate governance.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and Excel modelling.
