What You'll Be Doing
- Lead Group Finance
- Take ownership of the finance function across multiple subsidiaries
- Prepare and review consolidated management accounts and financial reporting
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
- Manage group cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements
- Partner with operational teams to improve project profitability and performance
- Influence Business Decisions
- Work closely with leadership teams to provide commercial insights
- Analyse project performance, costs, and operational efficiencies
- Support strategic initiatives through data-driven decision-making
- Provide meaningful financial reporting that drives action
- Build Strong Controls & Governance
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax legislation, and statutory requirements
- Oversee VAT, PAYE, tax submissions, and audit processes
- Strengthen financial controls, systems, and governance frameworks
- Identify and manage financial and operational risks
- Lead and Develop Teams
- Mentor and support finance professionals across the group
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Drive process optimisation and systems enhancements
- Help modernise reporting and finance operations as the business grows
What We're Looking For
- BCom Accounting, Finance, or related qualification
- Completed articles (SAICA, SAIPA, or equivalent)
- CA(SA), CIMA, ASA, or similar professional qualification advantageous
- 8–12 years' finance experience with leadership exposure
- Experience managing multiple entities or group structures advantageous
- Mining, contracting, engineering, construction, or industrial sector exposure beneficial
- Strong commercial acumen and financial management capability
- Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
- Comfortable travelling to operational sites when required
