About the position
Background:
- Exciting career opportunity within a manufacturing organisation for a Group Financial Manager to manage and monitor the financial activities within the business
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Accounting is mandatory
- SAICA (CA) professional certification would be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements
- Infor Visual and Microsoft Business Central experience will be advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Create budgets for all statements, income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
- Generate free cash flow models to determine the company’s valuation for Shareholders
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Investigate and explain variances
- Determine new ways to enhance the quality of financial reporting
- Prepare reporting for financial institutions, covenant calculations
- Monitor the ageing of working capital items, such as inventory, debtors and creditors
- Manage the Accounts team
- Review and closely monitor trial balances via month-end files
- Review and authorise adjustments
- Review and authorise journal entries
- Perform tax calculations for the Group
- Ensure accurate VAT submissions
- Ensure payroll compliance and accurate PAYE submissions
- Take the lead on audit engagements
- Ensure audits are completed within planned timelines
- Any other duties that may become relevant in the line of financial management of the company
