About the position
Background:
- Great opportunity for a Group Financial Manager within a leading international listed manufacturing company - Office based position
Main Purpose:
- Efficiently and accurately oversee the financial reporting and planning all the financial aspects of the company
Qualification:
- Qualified CA
- At least 5 years releavant experience
Duties:
- Cover the full spectrum of finance operations, including budgeting and forecasting, preparations of management accounts, preparations of annual financial statements in terms of IFRS and managing the day-to day financial operations of the group
- Year end is December (Cannot plan for December leave)
Financial:
- Manage day-to day accounting, financial reporting
- Manage and maintain the financial aspects of the ERP
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements
- Continually review practices for better operational efficiency, potential account issues and financial processes
- Resolve issues that have been raised by Financial Managers
- Provide advice on financial planning an analysis to Directors and Executives
- Overview the monthly departmental EXCO reports and regard all financial aspects of that department
- Review and analyse financial reports and ensure that expenditure is according to approval budgets
- Financial reporting regarding Management reports, EXCO reports and AFS as well as reporting to Head Office in Brazil
- Ensure all statutory returns are submitted including VAT, Income Tax, Provisional Tax, Statistical returns
- Improve efficiencies and reduce company cost
- Put in place and maintain financial systems and processes
- Review monthly reports received from Financial Managers
- Oversee cash flow management
- Manage budgets and forecasts, including variances
- Present year-end accounts
- Plan and manage the year-end audit
- Review consolidated management and financial periods
- Review reconciled foreign creditors, market to market information, forex revaluations and goods in transit
- Ensure that finance team keeps tax clearance certificate updated (Income Tax, PAYE, SDL, UIF and VAT) Local and Foreign when applicable
- Liaise with Auditors for annual Audit
- Prepare AFS in terms of IFRS
