Group Financial Manager
Candidate would preferably live in (Pretoria East, Kempton Park, Boksburg & Bedfordview)
Job Description:
The Group Financial Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities and strategies of the organization or group of companies. This role involves providing financial guidance, analysis, and support to senior management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving financial performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Financial stewardship in the Group.
- Managing admin team and related functions
- Driving Admin & Finance department to support other departments to reach optimal performance
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures for the department
- Implement and maintain systems to better the workflow and performance of the company
- Group accounting, financial statements, individual per company and consolidated
- Annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly budget trending.
- Cashflow planning and forecasting for the Group
- Company asset control and company issue register
- Responsible for creditors and debtors
- Procurement and supplier management (Pricing, trading terms, payment terms)
- Month end stock take and verifications
- Monthly management pack and dashboard reports (Trend analysis)
- Auditor engagement and management
- Responsible for all SARS related matters in the Group, always ensure SARS compliance. (PAYE, VAT, E-filing)
- Company secretarial functions - Updating and keeping record of CIPC documents, company documents, resolutions and all related certificates, dividend calculations, solvency & liquidity tests,
- Stats SA and SAPA submissions.
- Responsible for Group IT, software, and hardware functions (Server, Sage Evolution, Computers, Printers, Cloud, Microsoft, Internet, Telecoms, Phones, Switchboard)
- Group HR management (Payroll, UIF, Appointments, Dismissals, Disciplinary Code, Staff benefits, Payroll structuring, staff sales, promotions, demotions, contracts, staff files, Clocking systems, IODs)
- Employment equity and BEE
- Managing short term insurance portfolio for the Group (Claims, reviews, etc)
- Contract producer calculations
- Operational involvement within other departments in the Group
Other Requirements:
- Must have been in a financial managerial position for at least 5 years
- Must be a professional accountant, preferably CIMA qualified
- Must be competent to independently manage the financial affairs of a group of companies with a consolidated turnover of between R [Phone Number Removed]; and R [Phone Number Removed]; per year
- Good human relations and excellent communication skills
- Excellent computing skills - Excel and Sage Evolution
- Very neat and tidy work ethic
- Candidate must have a pro-active and attention to detail approach to his/her work
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
