What you will be doing:
- Regularly prepare financial reports that aid decision making.
- Analyse financial results, trends, and KPIs; provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Oversee both annual and long term planning and budgeting processes for the group.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and variance analysis.
- Assist with strategic planning through financial modelling and analysis.
- Manage the annual statutory external audit process for the group.
- Implement and monitor internal controls across the group.
- Optimize capital structure and support investment decisions.
- Improve impact and efficiency by developing and implementing financial strategies.
- Develop finance policies and procedures that address audit findings or risk areas.
- Ensure compliance with local tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
- Enhance financial systems, processes, and reporting tools for efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead finance projects focused on the continuous improvement of systems and processes to deliver excellence, efficiency and compliance.
What our client is looking for:
- A relevant tertiary degree would be ideal (Accounting, Finance, etc.).
- A full CA(SA) / ACCA or equivalent.
- 10+ years' experience in financial management.
- Exco-level experience and cross-functional team collaboration skills are advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial analysis for funding requirements of non-profit programs is needed.
- Skills in budget and financial management, and business acumen are essential.
- Strategic and analytical thinking, alongside emotional intelligence, are important attributes.
- Strong ethical standards, adaptability, and leadership abilities are necessary.
