About the position
DBN000109 – GROUP FINANCE MANAGER - PIETERMARITZBURG
Purpose of the Job:
To oversee & optimize group financial performance through budgeting, reporting, cost control & strategic planning for efficient, profitable operations.
Required Qualifications:
- BCom Accounting Degree - Minimum.
- CIMA Qualification advantageous.
- At least 3-5 years Financial Management experience within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial functions, ensuring IFRS compliance.
- Implement systems to meet financial and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and report on business performance.
- Manage product costing and maintain BOM accuracy.
- Handle payables, receivables, and statutory compliance, including import/export processes.
- Liaise with auditors and ensure tax compliance.
- Prepare annual budgets and financial statements.
- Deliver monthly financial, cash flow, and manufacturing reports.
- Analyze income statements and address variances.
- Submit all statutory returns (EMP, workers' comp, etc.).
- Manage Admin, HR, and Stores teams.
- Oversee insurance coverage and claims.
- Align B-BBEE with financial strategy.
- Maintain 5S standards in admin and stores areas.
