About the position

DBN000278 - Group Finance Manager (Logistics) - Umhlanga

Purpose of the Job:
Leads the finance function, ensuring strong governance, accurate reporting, and effective management of accounting operations across the group.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Honours advantageous)
  • Professional designation (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, PA(SA), CBAP(SA)) preferred
  • 5–8 years’ experience in financial management, ideally in warehousing, logistics, or similar sectors
  • Understanding of logistics and related industries (e.g., warehousing, freight, silo management)
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and tax regulations
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Oversee full finance function, reporting, consolidations, and year-end processes
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance monitoring
  • Manage cash flow, treasury, controls, risk, and overall financial governance
  • Lead and develop the finance team
  • Ensure regulatory, tax, and audit compliance with strong internal controls and systems
  • Support strategy through financial insights, pricing, profitability analysis, and business growth initiatives
