About the position
Group Financial Manager
We are looking for a strategic financial leader with strong IFRS, taxation, and financial management expertise. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and audit processes, ensuring sound financial decision-making while leading a high performing finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Full financial management and control function.
- Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts.
- Preparation and compilation of quarterly board packs.
- Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements line with IFRS and the Companies Act.
- Preparation, analysis and review of operational and financial budgets and forecasts.
- Preparation and maintenance of capital budgets for existing operations and any new developments.
- Preparation, review, submission and management of all tax types i.e. Income Tax, VAT, STT
- Management of the external audit process and addressing technical issues.
- Stock and Cash Flow Management
- Management of the internal audit process and addressing internal control issues.
- Provide technical (IFRS) insights and draft reports for new or potential corporate transactions.
- Implement and maintain a strong control environment and drive continuous improvement.
- Adhering to strict reporting deadlines.
- Check, verify and release electronic bank payments.
- Financial review and analysis of all group entities.
- Financial modelling and valuations.
- Work closely with Exco and Stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience:
- Qualified CA (SA) or CIMA and completed articles
- Minimum 5 years post articles working experience
- Minimum 2 years management or supervision role
- Working experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional numerical ability
- Strong analytical, and leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in the Manufacturing Industry
