Group Energy Engineer

About the position

A large healthcare group based in Johannesburg is looking for a Group Energy Engineer to lead their energy strategy across portfolio, while guaranteeing energy security, cost optimisation, decarbonisation, regulatory compliance, and alignment with their sustainability and ESG obligations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the production of energy using natural, renewable and sustainable resources. Their main focus will be on generating efficient, clean and innovative ways of supplying energy. They will also research and develop ways to generate new energy and improve the use of energy by reducing emissions and minimising environmental damage.

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:

• A BSc/BEng/BTech in Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering or related NQF level 6 qualification
• A professional registration with ECSA
• 10+ years' experience in Energy Management

Experience:

• Knowledgeable in sustainability implementation and roll outs.
• Knowledgeable in renewable deployment, energy performance optimisation, and carbon reduction strategy.
• Prior experience within a project team responsible for energy management and sustainability.
