About the position
DBN000151 - Group Accountant – Hybrid/Remote - Agriculture
Please note: This is a 3-6 month contract position, with the possibility to become permanent.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the financial integrity, accuracy and timeliness of all accounting records across the group.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification (CA, ACCA , CIMA, SAIPA)
- Must have experience in agricultural/agri-business or farm accounting – not negotiable
- Must have experience working with biological assets and cost allocation – not negotiable
- Must have experience in cross-border transactions and multiple currencies.
Required Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidated group financial statements.
- Manage weekly group cash flow forecasts and payments.
- Ensure IFRS compliance and statutory reporting in all jurisdictions.
- Coordinate annual audits and tax filings.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
