Graphics Design Lecturer (Contract) (Potchefstroom)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Academic Institute seeks a forward-thinking Graphics Design Lecturer to fill an Independent Contractor role in Potchefstroom. You will lecture Humanities-related modules while assisting with administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department. Applicants will require a Honours Degree in Graphics Design (a Master's will be beneficial), with suitable lecturing work experience with the necessary knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes and relevant research experience.

DUTIES:
Modules to be lectured - Applied Colour & Design, Visual Literacy, Typography, Drawing, Communication Design, Motion Graphics, Digital Design, 3D Animation, Copywriting, Web Design, Advanced Drawing & Illustration, Professional Practice

• General Administration.
• Set and mark assessments.
• Preparation of notes and additional study materials.
• Quality Assurance.
• Management of At-risk students.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications -

• Honours Degree in Graphics Design. (Master's would be advantageous)

Experience/Skills -

• Relevant lecturing experience.
• Necessary knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes.
• Relevant research experience.
