About the position
We have an exciting career opportunity for a talented Graphic Designer to join our team in Cape Town. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. In addition to traditional design responsibilities, they will also manage social media content creation and posting to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Moreover, the Graphic Designer will be expected to possess some level of copywriting ability to complement their design work effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating creative ideas and concepts based on project requirements.
- Collaborating with the team to develop innovative design solutions.
- Creating visual elements such as logos, illustrations, and infographics.
- Developing layouts and production designs for print and digital media.
- Creating visually engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
- Utilizing graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and others as necessary.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- Preparing files for print production, including prepress checks and formatting.
- Conducting quality checks on final designs to ensure accuracy and consistence.
Required skills, qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in graphic design software and tools. (Especially Adobe Creative Suit)
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and project requirements.
- Driver’s license and own reliable transport
