About the Role: What You'll Be Doing: Conceptualising and designing high-quality artwork for in-store point of sale, retail displays, promotional materials, and campaign work 3 to 5 years of solid experience as a Graphic Designer (ideally in a retail, print, or POP environment) Exposure to 3D design or POS structural elements Have a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
Location: Ottwa South, Durban, South Africa
Salary: R20,000 - R25,000 (Slightly negotiable)
This role is based at a leading creative production agency specialising in point-of-purchase displays, in-store marketing, and retail activations across South Africa and beyond. The team works at the intersection of design, print, and production, delivering standout brand experiences that go far beyond flat artwork.
We're on the hunt for a creative, print-savvy Graphic Designer with a sharp eye for detail and a natural instinct for visual storytelling. You'll be working on a range of high-impact retail and promotional display projects, designing for physical environments that grab attention and elevate brands.
Collaborating closely with the production and structural teams to ensure your designs are print-ready and align with final formats
Understanding how colour, materials, and finishes will appear once printed not just how they look on screen
Learning and adapting to 3D and 4D promotional display elements (experience not essential, training provided)
Contributing to creative direction and offering fresh, innovative ideas to push brands forward
Juggling multiple projects and deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and brand consistency
Must-Haves:
Proven experience in print design and pre-press, you need to know how to take a project from concept to print-ready
A strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking, layout, and understanding of physical brand space
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
A good understanding of colour theory, typography, materials, and print processes
Nice-to-Have (or Willing to Learn):
Experience working on retail, FMCG, or promotional marketing brands
Confidence working cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g. sales, production, structural designers)
