About the position
A leading higher education institution committed to providing quality education and fostering student success through their three education brands. They are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join the marketing team and help elevate their brand across various channels.
Job Overview:
As our Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating compelling visual content for all our marketing materials and above-the-line media in line with our CI. You'll work closely with our marketing team and agency to develop creative solutions that effectively communicate our brand message and attract prospective students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce a wide range of marketing materials, including brochures, prospectuses, flyers and posters.
- Conceptualize and execute designs for above-the-line media, with a focus on out-of-home advertising (billboards, transit ads, etc.).
- Digital design including short-form videos and motion graphics.
- Creating assets for digital-first formats (social, landing pages, paid media).
- Maintain brand consistency across all visual communications while pushing creative boundaries.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project briefs and translate them into visually appealing designs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Stay updated on design trends and best practices in higher education marketing.
- Provide art direction for photoshoots and video productions when needed.
- Prepare files for both print and digital production, ensuring high-quality output.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of our brand guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and attention to detail.
- Experience with large-format and out-of-home advertising design.
- Excellent understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
- Knowledge of print production processes and digital design best practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Familiarity with higher education marketing is a plus.
