This is a hybrid role that combines graphic design expertise with social community management. You’ll be crafting scroll-stopping visuals while also cultivating engaged online communities.
The role requires equal parts creative flair, social savvy, and strategic thinking—balancing day-to-day design execution with long-term community growth goals.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Visual Creation
Develop innovative designs for social media campaigns, marketing assets, and event branding.
Translate brand guidelines into modern, human, and relevant content.
Produce high-quality visuals optimised for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
Community Building & Engagement
- Manage, grow, and engage client social communities across multiple platforms.
- Create content calendars blending design, storytelling, and interactivity.
- Monitor conversations, respond to comments, and nurture online relationships.
- Spark discussions, highlight customer voices, and showcase client impact stories.
Analytics & Strategy
- Track engagement metrics, community sentiment, and follower growth.
- Report insights and recommend strategy improvements.
- Use social listening tools to anticipate trends and guide timely responses.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the creative team, marketing strategists, and account managers.
- Support live coverage during events, product launches, or campaigns.
- Share best practices with clients to showcase the value of integrated design + community.
Who You Are
- A designer with a strong portfolio and 3–5 years of combined design + social media/community management
- experience (agency or in-house).
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite & Canva, and familiar with tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout.
- Experienced in moderating communities on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
- Skilled at managing content calendars, reporting on engagement, and optimising campaigns.
- Passionate about blending creativity with community building.
- Bonus: Experience covering live events, real-time engagement, or influencer/advocate campaigns.
- Organised, deadline-driven, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple projects.
