Graduate/ Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS)

About the position

A multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in Plattekloof, Cape Town, is seeking a Graduate or Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will support senior QS professionals and collaborate closely with Architecture and Engineering teams on a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of preliminary and detailed cost estimates
• Support the compilation of Bills of Quantities and contract documentation
• Assist in tender evaluations and financial reporting
• Help track project costs, valuations, variation orders, and cost control documents
• Contribute to feasibility studies, repair/damage costings, and value at risk assessments
• Attend site and project meetings for learning and exposure
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers

Minimum Requirements:

• BTech or BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Registration with SACQSP as a Candidate QS (beneficial)
• Valid driver's license and own transport
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
• Exposure to WinQS or DimX (advantageous)
