About the position
A well-known international leading Electrical and Renewable solutions provider require the above to be responsible for leading their global procurement and commercial strategy in support of their 2030 growth ambition. This role carries executive accountability for transforming how they source, negotiate, and manage international supply chains across diverse markets.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- An honours or master’s degree in supply chain management, finance (CA), or a related field is essential for this role.
- Previous minimum of 10 years’ experience having worked within a supply chain role, where at least 5 years would have been at an executive or senior management level, specifically overseeing global procurement or commercial strategy.
- Must have a proven track record as a visionary leader in global procurement, commercial optimisation, and strategic supply chain management at an executive level.
- Extensive experience in direct import operations, international sourcing, and supplier diversification across multiple global markets is essential for the role.
- The successful candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and freight optimisation strategies as well as having a strong financial and working capital management skills, including expertise in pricing models, margin protection, and foreign exchange risk management.
- Must be competent in inventory optimisation platforms such as Netstock, and data management tools like Phocas.
- Multilingual would serve as an added advantage.
- The candidate must be excellent computer literacy capabilities and proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Strong trade leadership and strategic decision-making capabilities, driving change management, trade efficiency, and process optimisation.
- Global procurement expertise with knowledge of international freight consolidation and global freight management.
- Ability to identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies in response to global trade disruptions.

- Defining and executing a world-class global sourcing strategy across Asia, Europe, and other key markets.
- Leading direct import optimisation, source cost control, and supplier diversification to future-proof operations.
- Representing the company at the highest level in global supplier negotiations, forums, and contract engagements.
- Implementing long-term supply strategies that reduce dependency, manage geopolitical risk, and enhance resilience.
- Driving profitability through price and margin protection, as well as product lifecycle management.
- Controlling strategic inventory, managing product listings, ensuring ERP data integrity, and reviewing product packs to support decision-making.
- Overseeing high-value procurement decisions and collaborating cross-functionally to optimise working capital, inventory turnover, reduce dead stock, and align supply with sales forecasts.
- Championing cost-efficient freight and shipping practices across global lanes while safeguarding continuity and availability.
- Governing procurement compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring alignment with international trade laws, customs duties, and ethical sourcing principles.
- Leading a high-performance procurement and product specialist team focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and digital transformation via platforms like Kerridge, Netstock, and Phocas.
- Strategically driving all commercial and supplier relations representing the company in high-level negotiations with global suppliers, industry forums, and trade associations.
- Driving digital transformation and process automation using ERP Systems like Kerridge, Netstock, and Phocas to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier visibility.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on the candidate’s experience gained.
