You're calm under pressure, a fast learner, and your attention to detail borders on perfectionism. You enjoy working with people and are naturally discreet, trustworthy, and reliable. With strong communication skills and the ability to multitask, you thrive in a team but can work independently and take initiative.
You'll support consular officers in delivering high-quality services to clients, managing everything from civil status registrations and passport processing to handling official correspondence and administrative tasks. You'll liaise directly with clients and stakeholders via email, phone, and in person, assist with diplomatic communications, and help coordinate meetings, travel, and projects. Your contribution will be essential to the smooth running of a regional consular centre handling operations across multiple Southern African nations.
Our client is a highly regarded international government body representing a European nation. Their Pretoria-based regional office manages diplomatic and consular functions across Southern Africa. The organisation is known for its professionalism, strong ethical culture, and commitment to high standards. You'll be part of a diverse, multicultural team, working in a supportive environment that values accuracy, integrity, and service excellence. You will be fully office based.
You'll have completed a commercial apprenticeship or a related qualification in or be a graduate in a similar field. Experience in consular or administrative work would be great but we're looking for someone that is fluent in German or French and has strong administration experience. Strong analytical skills, client service orientation, and emotional resilience will help you succeed.
This full-time role offers 20 days of leave plus additional overseas public holidays, internal training, and medical aid, provident fund and a risk benefit, including a 13th Cheque. You'll work in a stable, values-driven setting with global relevance and a meaningful purpose.
