About the position

Postion Summary:
Assisting in the general operations and maintenance of the Karoo site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspecting and Maintaining existing fences, gates, windmills, dams and farm roadsOperating of heavy and light equipment including the Honey SuckerAssisting with the opening and closing of trenchesRemoval trims treesPerforming maintenance/cleaning vehicles and equipmentAssisting in maintaining power linesCollecting and removal of waste binsAssisting with fencing of grave yards and maintaining thereofAssists in maintaining existing gardens and orchards on farmsAll other general duties as assigned

Minimum Qualification:

• Grade 10 / National Certificate / Vocational 2 / N1 / NQF 2

Minimum Experience:

• 2-2 years

• Grade 10Driver license (advantageous)2-years working experience as a General Worker

Experience:

• Working in construction and/or on farmsGardening General Fencing General Construction Painting

Knowledge:

• General Health and Safety proceduresOperation of common hand tools (electrical and mechanical)Working on heights and lifting of heavy objects

The role will be responsible for writing the software that controls and monitors the telescope, research and evaluate requirements for the existing or new software applications, furthermore they develop, test and maintain software solutions to meet the requirements.
