About the position

DBN000194 - General Manager Farming - Malawi

Purpose of The Job:
To lead and manage an integrated sugarcane farming, wildlife and community operation in southern Malawi.  Please note application process at bottom of advert.

Required Qualifications:

  • Internationally recognised Degree or Diploma in Agriculture

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing a large sugarcane farm
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, particularly centre pivots
  • Proven track record managing supervisors and labour
  • Strong financial skills
    • Budgets
    • Cashflow management
    • Accounting ability – advantageous


  • Experience overseeing a large integrated farm workshop

  • Knowledge and ability to ensure compliance with international SHEQ standards

  • A passion for wildlife and environment
