General Manager IT

About the position

Our client is a transformative technology solutions company, with a footprint in Cape Town and Johannesburg, specialising in guiding clients through the complexities of artificial intelligence and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals.
• Ensure alignment of operations with the company's mission and vision.
• Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in AI and Microsoft 365 solutions.

Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain high performance and ethical standards.
• Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and nurture relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure the delivery of tailored solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
• Act as a primary point of contact for major clients, addressing concerns and opportunities.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.

Business Development:

• Drive new client acquisition and expand the company's market presence.
• Develop and execute innovative strategies for lead generation and client retention.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to enhance brand visibility and client engagement.

Project Management:

• Oversee the successful execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies to streamline processes.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate best practices into operations.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

• Maintain a culture of accountability and integrity within the organization.

• Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications in AI, MS365, or Project Management is advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a senior management role, preferably in the technology sector.
• Proven experience in business development, client relationship management, and operational management.
• Understanding of Microsoft's offerings, Licensing, and related IT services.
• Familiarity with CRM software preferred.
