The successful candidate must be an experienced Maintenance Handyman responsible for ensuring that facilities and equipment across all South Africa properties are well maintained and in good working order.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and annual servicing of tools and equipment, ensuring optimal working condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, making necessary repairs or arranging external service providers when required.
- Perform general handyman tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
- Respond to building maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general electrical, plumbing, and/or air conditioning and heat pump repairs and maintenance
- Hotel or property maintenance experience advantageous
- Knowledge of safe working procedures for electrical tools and equipment
- Basic hand tools and electrical knowledge
- Preference given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas
Inherent Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- Technical Qualification in Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, Or A Related Field Beneficial
- Valid Driver’s License Beneficial
