GCP Data Engineer / BI Enablement Specialist

About the position

Key Responsibilities



 



GCP Data Engineering

• Design, build, and support data pipelines on GCP, enabling ingestion, transformation, and storage of data used for analytics and AI workloads


• Implement and support data processing aligned to a Medallion-style architecture (raw ? curated ? consumption layers)

 



Analytics & BI Enablement

• Support BI and analytics teams by providing clean, well-structured datasets optimised for reporting and semantic modelling


• Enable operationalisation of data science models, ensuring models can be executed and consumed by downstream systems and reports

 



AI & Advanced Analytics Support

• Work alongside data science teams to productionise models that drive:
  
  
  • Operational interventions (e.g. claims rework, case management)
  
  
  • Personalised recommendations surfaced to digital channels
  
  
  
  

 



Platform Transition & Scaling

• Support migration and re-platforming initiatives as the organisation moves workloads from external GCP environments into its own GCP platform

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric + Degree / Diploma in IT


• Certificate welcome


• 4+ years experience in Data Engineering (Python, Google Cloud, SQL) 


• Experience building production-grade data pipelines (batch and near-real-time)


• Ability to work in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
