About the team:
Our client has a global team of 30 broadly split into 5 sub teams all sharing the same core responsibility of oversight and facilitation of transfer agent activities and supporting clients who invest in our client’s Fund Ranges.
The purpose of the role is to support the Offshore Fund Operations Finance team’s and be responsible to calculate fee accruals, payments and reinvestments, monitor the Fund Operations team’s budget and actual costs, and support the function of the Global Strategy Fund’s Global Distributor.
Responsibilities:
- Complete automated and manual monthly and quarterly fee and rebate processes to ensure timely and accurate settlement
- Complete bespoke commission processes, calculating accruals, payments, and reinvestments of trailer, rebates, and other fees. This involves handling large datasets, ensuring data accuracy, performing complex analyses, and drawing actionable insights
- Review and maintain records of clients within the fund ranges, including overseeing implementation of new fee setups, monitoring authorised status of intermediaries and ensuring new accounts/dealers are linked to fee setups
- Monitor, investigate, and clear fee and commission balances held on bank accounts
- Review and advise on practical aspects of draft legal contracts including fee setups from a Fund Operations Finance perspective
- Monitor actual costs against Fund Operations team budget and assist with setting annual budget
- Input and oversee fee change instructions through agent workflow system to ensure they are documented and implemented correctly
- Identify opportunities for operational enhancements, suggest improvements and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist with projects to improve systems and processes
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or any related degree
- Minimum of 2 years fund industry experience
- An adeptness in handling large and complex datasets, particularly in Excel is essential
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- A proficiency in data analysis tools, for example, SQL, python, PowerBI, etc.
