About the position
Senior Fund Accountant with a related Degree and minimum 5 years' experience in the Asset Administration of local and offshore Portfolios, required for the asset running of the day to day administration of local and offshore portfolios, for an Asset Management Company based in Constantia, Cape Town.
Minimum requirements:
- Tertiary Degree essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience within an Asset Management company essential, dealing specifically with Asset Administration of local and offshore Portfolios
- Previous experience in the Asset running of the day to day administration of local and offshore portfolios
- Must be able and willing to work extended hours when required
- Systematic approach and numeric understanding required
Responsibilities:
- Asset running of the day to day administration of local and offshore portfolios
- Report to Line Manager, Fund Accounting/Asset Pricing Team and Business Support Analyst
- Ensure accurate and efficient pricing and review of inhouse administered portfolios
- Management of the Pricing Department - demonstrate technical and management leadership n the subject of find accounting
- Management of all deadlines and deliverables in the end to end process from Trade cycle, corporate events, price scrubbing and other inputs to the dissemination of the finalised NAV
- Minimising errors through implementing extra controls and optimising processes
- Manage, motivate and mentor fund accounting team
- Identify training and development needs
- Participate and collaborate with internal and external teams
- Develop strong and trusted relationships with all stakeholders
- Remain up to date with industry and regulatory changes
- Manage issues and risk to resolution for all escalated matters
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to investigate queries
- Oversee and review reporting and key controls - review and sign off fund distributions and underlying FOF distributions monthly, corporate event checks weekly, and reporting quarterly
