About the position
6 Month contract with possibility of renewal.
RESONSIBLITIES
Fund Accounting
- Provide daily accounting services for the assigned fund.
- Perform month end reconciliations and account closings for the fund.
- Ensure effective monitoring and management of cash flows and expenses for the fund.
- Maintain accounting system to record all fund transactions.
- Perform fund analysis and reporting for critical decision making purposes.
- Analyze root causes of accounting discrepancies and provide corrective actions.
- Resolve accounting variances and estimate monthly closing accruals.
- Ensure effective and timely response to accounting inquiries to enable quick business decisions.
- Conduct audit and analysis of the fund's financial performance.
- Generate routine and ad-hoc financial statements for management.
- Generate routine and ad-hoc financial statements for management.
- Respond to accounting inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Analyze root causes of accounting discrepancies and provide corrective actions.
- Develop process improvements to enhance financial performance.
- Respond to Auditor inquiries and prepare financial statements required for auditing.
- Cooperate with Auditors in annual audit and tax filing activities.
Budget and Cost Management
- Ensure effective monitoring of spending and budgets.
- Proivide sound leadership and advise on how to reduce costs and increase profits.
- Compile and present financial and budget reports to enable effective business management.
Governance, ompliance and Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with operating policies, procedures and guidelines in completion of Fund Accounting processes
- Ensure effective financial forecasting and risk analysis.
- Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
Stakeholders Management
- Bulid and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Respond to stakeholders' inquiries and requests to ensure effective business relationships.
- Prepare client service plans, calendars and timelines aligned to business strategies.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- ESSENTIAL 2-3 years experience in investment/private equity industry
- 5 - 7 years experience in Accounting or Financial Management field
- Post graduate academic qualification in Accounting and Finacial Management
