About the position
ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic provider of innovative Data & Analytics Solutions in Joburg, seeks the coding talents of Full Stack Software Engineer who will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications, platforms, and integrations that support business operations and strategic objectives. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who can build robust applications, integrate systems, optimize performance, and contribute to the ongoing innovation and growth of the organization's technology environment. You will need a Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Science / Software Engineering or similar field with 3 - 5 years' experience in Software Development including developing and deploying production-ready applications. Your tech toolset should include Python, C#, React, Angular, Node.js, SQL Server, Azure, AWS, Git, Docker, amongst others.
DUTIES:
Software Development -
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications.
- Develop both Frontend and Backend functionality for web and enterprise applications.
- Build scalable and secure APIs and services.
- Ensure applications meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Conduct troubleshooting, debugging, and system optimization.
Systems Integration -
- Develop integrations between internal and external systems.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services.
- Ensure seamless data flow between platforms and applications.
- Support third-party system integrations where it is required.
Database Management -
- Design, develop, and maintain database structures.
- Optimize database performance and data integrity.
- Develop queries, stored procedures, and reporting functionality.
- Support data migration and integration activities.
Cloud and Deployment -
- Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments.
- Support infrastructure and platform management activities.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in release planning, deployment, and production support activities.
DevOps and System Support -
- Monitor system performance and application health.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement resolutions.
- Support software release and deployment processes.
- Maintain system documentation and technical standards.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement -
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Designers, and other technical teams.
- Provide technical recommendations and guidance.
- Participate in planning, estimation, and project delivery activities.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation -
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the improvement of development standards and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and applications.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications -
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience/Skills –
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Software Development.
- Proven experience developing and deploying production-ready applications.
- Developing Frontend and Backend solutions.
- Working with APIs, integrations, and enterprise applications.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Using source control and version management tools.
