We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join a dynamic IT team with our client who is booming in the automotive space in Gauteng. The role involves developing, maintaining, and operating frontend and backend applications, delivering seamless user experiences, and contributing to full-stack development in an agile/DevOps environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· We are looking for a Front Developer to join the team to deliver a streamlined user experience, with opportunities to work on the Full Stack code base.
· Conduct with the feature team members, system analysis, design, development and testing for their assigned technical products or applications within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model.
· Maintain and develop, deploy and operate backend and frontend cross platform applications based on Java and Angular Frameworks.
· Implement robust automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives
· Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols as well as required system documentation
· Support operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge. Resolve escalated support topics as part of tier-3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of critical applications.
· Plan and execute upgrade of existing applications, tools, and features. Create solutions and solve problems using a cloud-native toolchain, to ensure world-class uptime and business agility.

RequirementsEssential Skills & Experience:
· Proficient in Front End development using Java, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (or similar)
· Strong understanding of frameworks and libraries such as JavaScript, jQuery, and TypeScript
· Experience with UX design tools (Figma)
· Familiarity with Unit Test Frameworks (e.g., JUnit)
· Knowledge of containerization with Docker
· Version control experience using Git (e.g., GitHub Enterprise)
· Ability to perform additional responsibilities in an Agile Working Model
Advantageous Skills:
· Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
· Backend development with Java, Quarkus, and API design
· CI/CD pipelines and build/deployment tools (GitHub Actions, Maven)
· SQL and database management using PostgreSQL
Qualifications & Experience:
· Relevant IT Degree
· 3+ years in a mid to senior development role; total experience 6+ years
