Front End Development Team Lead (Remote)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

THE coding expertise of a forward-thinking Front End Development Team Lead is sought by a cutting-edge Communication Solutions Platform where you will work on complex technical challenges, providing engineering leadership and mentorship. You will be joining the Mobile & UI team as their lead in a hands-on role designing and building software. Applicants must possess a Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with strong Front End Development work experience with a proven track record leading projects and teams. Your tech toolset should include Angular, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ionic, Capacitor/Cordova & CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms. If you are someone who still loves your craft, but also wants exposure to the management and leadership space, then this is the role for you.

DUTIES:

• Lead and mentor a team of Developers while promoting best practices across the team.
• Design, develop, and optimize web applications and mobile apps using Svelte, AngularJS, Ionic, Capacitor, and other front-end technologies.
• Write Unit and Integration Tests, ensuring the reliability and robustness of the platform.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Work closely with UI/UX Designers, Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver optimal solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications –

• Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent working experience).

Experience/Skills –

• Strong Front End Development experience, with a proven track record of leading projects and teams.
• Proficiency in a technology stack or framework like Svelte, Angular or React (Svelte will be beneficial), with a strong grasp of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript).
• Experience with hybrid mobile application development (Ionic, Capacitor / Cordova).
• Familiarity with modern build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
