About the position
A prominent leader in the Financial and Banking industry is seeking a Front Arena Senior XVA Developer for a permanent position within their expanding team.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep expertise in Front Arena and Adaptiv Analytics, a strong foundation in quantitative modeling, and extensive experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
Candidates with leadership experience who thrive in an Agile team environment are highly desirable. This role also involves mentoring team members, guiding them in mastering XVA.
The position requires regular interaction with the XVA trading desk and Market Risk, along with other trading desks as needed. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with various departments across the value chain, including Finance, Operations, Middle Office, and more
Required Qualification/s Certification/s:
- FIS AEF Certification
- FIS AIF Certification
- Master's degree in finance, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
- Strong Programming skills in Python
More than 5 years’ experience as a senior developer of a Front Arena XVA team with Adaptiv integration development and valuation analysis:
- 5+ years of experience in derivatives pricing or risk management
- 5+ years of experience in Front Arena support and development
- Strong understanding of Front Arena and Adaptiv Analystics
- Strong understanding of quantitative modelling
- Strong experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Typical day to day duties include:
- Help develop and maintain pricing models for the Market Risk team and the xVA trading desk, including CVA, FVA, and DVA
- Analyse and interpret XVA data to identify and quantify risks
- Ensure that the risk mitigation strategies executed by the trading desk, such as collateral management and hedging, is correctly captured by the Front Arena and Adaptiv Analytics systems.
- Ensure that Front Arena and Adaptiv Analytics is well integrated.
- Communicate XVA risks to senior management and other stakeholders
- Provide first-line support to traders and other users of Front Arena across different asset classes, especially the Structured Interest Rates desk
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Develop and maintain Front Arena scripts and applications
- Work with vendors to ensure that Front Arena is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Front Arena developments
- Provide training to new users of Front Arena
- Stay up-to-date on market developments and regulatory changes
- Create ATF test cases to automate testing for CI/CD.
