Depot Manager - Fresh Produce

About the position

Do you have a passion for fresh produce with a proven track record in buying and selling fruits and vegetables?  Grap this challenging opportunity to join this growing company as a Depot Manager/Fresh Produce Manager/Commercial Manager. They are in need of a strong leader to spearhead operations in Port Elizabeth. We want to hear from you if you believe you have what it takes to lead this business.
Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (Any tertiary qualification would be an advantage).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement and sales of fresh fruit and vegetables is a MUST.
• Extensive product knowledge of fresh produce varieties.
• Management experience of a small team (3-5 people).
• Excellent computer literacy.

 Responsibilities:

• Lead the team and manage business operations.
• Maintain productive relationships with current and new producers and clients.
• Fully responsible for procurement and sales within the business.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business.
• Analyze sales and finance reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth.
• Ensure profitability of the business.
• Report to Directors on all business aspects.
