Overview
A leading logistics and freight forwarding business is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to drive import and export sales across air, sea, and road freight. The role is suited to a commercially astute, operationally strong sales professional with established relationships within harbour and port environments.
The successful candidate will sell end-to-end logistics solutions, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and storage services, while working closely with operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow new business within import and export freight forwarding (air, sea, and land).
Sell integrated logistics solutions, including freight forwarding, warehousing, storage, and value-added services.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, global harbour stakeholders, agents, and logistics partners.
Identify market opportunities and remain commercially aware of industry trends and competitor activity.
Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and tailored logistics solutions.
Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and high service levels.
Resolve operational challenges proactively and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance reporting.
Produce detailed Excel-based sales and performance reports.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience in freight forwarding sales (air, sea, and road freight).
Strong focus on import and export logistics.
Established relationships within harbour/port environments (local and global).
Experience in selling warehousing and storage solutions.
Strong commercial and business acumen.
Advanced Excel reporting skills (tracking, analysis, reporting).
Solid operational understanding of freight forwarding processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
