About the position
PURPOSE STATEMENT
To lead and grow Franchise Partners and contribute towards the brand becoming the brand of choice for both potential investors and consumers.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION
- Establishes mutual respect between Franchisor and Franchisee network. Trusted Advisor.
- Optimize restaurant operations to ensure efficiencies.
- Conduct and provide feedback on Restaurant Evaluations. Shares best practice among restaurants.
- Conducts on the job training with restaurant teams and managers.
- Become proficient on the execution of the business processes and systems.
- Meet and align with Franchisees to unpack the restaurant objectives.
- Attend lease negotiations.
- Issues operations letters for non-conforming restaurants.
- Gatekeeper to all regional communication within their franchisee and manager network.
- Conducts and prepares for monthly one on one meeting with their line manager.
- Integrity of Franchise Intelligence System is maintained by being the Franchise Consultant. (trading hours, contact details, etc)
- Trains how to navigate all digital platforms within the business.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Franchisee specific business plans and budgets.
- Interpret monthly management accounts, benchmark, and suggest corrective actions where necessary.
- Identify and communicate formal training needs to the training department for training intervention.
- Monitor and feedback information about competitor activity within the region.
- Assist franchisees in selecting and formulating locality marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and grow their turnovers.
- Assists in processes related to change of hands and new or revamped restaurants.
- Prepares all relevant information relating to Franchise Agreements.
- Handles customer queries efficiently and ensure the brand reputation is restored.
- Act as brand custodian and ensure brand integrity is protected at all times via adherence to all requirements across key functions namely, operations, development, HR and marketing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Formal Education
- Completed Matric / Grade 12.
- Certificate / Diploma in Hospitality Management and / or Business Management.
Experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience in the FMCG / food franchising industry, preferably in a similar role.
- Valid driver license.
- Willing and/or able to travel extensively
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Can understand and execute the fundamentals of Restaurant Shift Management
- Can understand and navigate a POSI system with regards to inventory management within a restaurant environment
- Can collate restaurant financials and present recommendations for improvements.
- Uses software platforms such as Microsoft Outlook to organize and plan and communicate effectively.
- Strong Communication, Organizational, Operational and People Skills
- Highly presentable
- Strong interpersonal skills

- A critical thinker with a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Fanatical attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation
- Displays impeccable time keeping, arrives on time for meetings and prepares in advance. Ensures they plan road trips in advance. Calendar updated a month in advance.
