About the position

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Tested Foundry Moulder to join our clients team. This role involves the preparation (ram-up) and closing of sand moulds, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will bring extensive foundry expertise, physical capability, and a strong commitment to precision and safety.

• Prepare, ram-up, and close sand moulds according to technical drawings and specifications.
  
• Operate foundry equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  
• Ensure moulds meet strict quality standards before casting.
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and resolve challenges.
  
• Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental regulations always.
  

Requirements

• Trade Tested Foundry Moulder (essential).
  
• Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in a jobbing foundry.
  
• Proven experience in sand moulding techniques.
  
• Strong knowledge of foundry processes, equipment, and best practices.
  
• Ability to read, understand, and work from technical drawings.
  
• High attention to detail with excellent quality control skills.
  
• Physical stamina and strength are required for moulding tasks.
  
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  
• Strong work ethic with commitment to quality workmanship.
  
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
  
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
  
• Flexible and adaptable to operational requirements.
