About the position

We are recruiting a Formulator to join the R&D Department of a well-established Pretoria-East based pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Minimum Requirements
Tertiary qualification
2+ years formulation experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (complimentary medicine)

Overview of position

• Product Development: Formulate and improve products; manage pilot trials and technical transfers to manufacturing.
• Production & Quality Support: Support QC and production teams with troubleshooting; uphold GMP and GLP standards.
• Documentation & Compliance: Prepare technical documents, stability protocols, and assist with regulatory submissions and audits.
• Supplier & Material Management: Assist with vendor evaluations, raw material sourcing, and maintaining approved supplier lists.
• Safety & Compliance: Serve as Safety Rep, First Aider, and Evacuation Marshal; conduct safety checks and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Training & SOP Management: Deliver training on new processes; maintain SOPs and training matrices for NPD and QC teams.
• Project Coordination: Liaise with cross-functional departments and suppliers; manage timelines and follow up on project progress.
