About the position
Purpose: To ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our diverse material handling fleet, encompassing forklifts (electric, LPG, diesel), diesel-powered equipment, and refrigeration units. This role involves proactive maintenance, expert diagnostics, and timely repairs across all these systems, minimising downtime and maximising operational productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive maintenance and inspections on a variety of forklift types (electric, LPG, diesel).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems in forklifts and other equipment.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems in refrigerated forklifts and potentially other related equipment.
- Conduct necessary repairs and replacements of mechanical, electrical, diesel engine, and refrigeration components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repair work, and parts used for all equipment types.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and minimize equipment downtime.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and repair techniques for forklifts, diesel engines, and refrigeration systems
