Zeal HR and JobJack have partnered to find the best Forklift Driver for our retail client in Fairview, Eastern Cape.

• Permanent - Full-time
• 8 hrs p/day
• Work schedule: 6 shifts per week
• Start date: ASAP

Job Description

Forklift operators are responsible for operating and managing forklifts to load and unload products. Ensuring efficiency and safety. This position reports directly to the Inbound or Outbound Supervisor, and Inbound or Outbound Manager and will be required to work different shifts across trading and non-trading hours, including Sundays and Public Holiday.

What you'll do
This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.

• Loading and off-loading of trucks daily.
• Moving of stock
• Complete daily forklift checklist before operating the machines.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
• Report any discrepancies.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
• Maintain compliance to all health & safety standards.
• Be able to do the same tasks again and again with energy to keep things going well.
• Use what you know about grocery items to handle them correctly and put them in the right place.
• Work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy periods, to meet distribution demands.
• Pay attention to details, double-checking product codes, labels, and placement.

Requirements

• Driver licence: Forklift Operator

• English
• Clear criminal record
• Within 25kms from job
