A dynamic, state-owned company operating in the forestry and land management sector is on the hunt for a sharp, agile and mission-driven Forensic Investigator to join its expanding Audit and Risk function.
With strategic assets across Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Mozambique, this role is not for the desk-bound. If you enjoy the challenge of uncovering fraud in remote operations, influencing ethical behaviour, and making tangible impact in natural resource stewardship - this is your calling.
?? About the Role.
This is a newly created position within a restructured audit environment. As Forensic Investigator, you will:
- Lead investigations into theft, fraud, supply chain irregularities and conflicts of interest.
- Develop and implement anti-fraud strategies across geographically dispersed operations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, testify in proceedings, and help shape the anti-corruption framework of a critical public-sector entity.
? Minimum Requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree (NQF 7) in Accounting, Law, Forensics, Internal Audit or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) is a distinct advantage.
- Professional certification: Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Fraud Practitioner SA (FPSA) or equivalent.
- Registered member of ACFE, ICFP or a recognised forensic body.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in forensic investigations, fraud risk management, or forensic auditing.
- Previous law enforcement or criminal investigation experience is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationally.
- Previous exposure to public sector compliance frameworks (e.g. PFMA) is an advantage.
