About the position

Food technologist who has experience in the abattoir and meat processing facilities required at well established plant. Own transport is a must due to the location of the facility. Dip Food Tech ess. This candidate will apply basic hygiene and sanitation and adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per FSSC 22000 and Meat Safety Act.

Responsibilities:
Effectively manage the QC Supervisor.
In collaboration with abovementioned ensure that books are made, signed off and filed correctly.
Annual and pre-employment quality and food safety induction training, liaise with HR to ensure new employees receive training.
Conduct locker inspections, allocations and ensure availability thereof.
Appointed as Pest Control Officer, follow up with monthly inspections with PCC.
Appointed as HACCP Team Leader
Sign off OPRP - Meat inspection and Metal Detection Books
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
Lead and document quarterly HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and Halaal team meetings an ensure cross-functional engagement
Conduct internal GMP audits and support third-party food safety audits and inspection, raise and close out non-conformances as per SOP.
Do GEMBA walks and follow and follow up with Snr QC Supervisor.
Do micro sampling as per schedule and follow up on results and trending.
Ensure calibration of equipment is done and file updated.
Do training as per training schedule.
Assist in QMS updates.
Ensure document control is regularly updated.

Requirements:
Matric
Dip Food Technology or similar
FSSC 22000 certificate
